KUALA LUMPUR -- YB Datuk Seri R. Ramanan has called on party members to strengthen unity and enhance organisational readiness as People's Justice Party (PKR) gears up for the upcoming Johor state elections. Speaking at the Johor PKR Convention, Ramanan, who serves as the party’s Vice President, said the gathering was more than just a routine assembly, describing it as a crucial platform to reinforce unity, coordinate efforts, and reinvigorate the spirit of struggle among members at all levels. He said all party machinery across Johor must immediately update their preparations, strengthen internal structures, and ensure disciplined and well-organised operations to secure victory in the state polls. YB Ramanan, who accompanied Prime Minister and PKR President Anwar Ibrahim at the event, also highlighted Malaysia’s resilience amid global economic uncertainty. He noted that policies introduced under the MADANI Government have helped maintain the country’s economic and financial stability despite ongoing global challenges. At the same time, he urged party members to enhance grassroots communication and actively counter misinformation and false narratives that could undermine public confidence in the government. He stressed that accurate information and facts must be consistently communicated to the people. Emphasising that unity is the party’s greatest strength, Ramanan called on all members to remain loyal to the leadership and prioritise the party’s struggle over personal interests. “This fight requires commitment, loyalty, and sincerity from every member. With unity and confidence in our leadership, we can defend the people’s mandate and ensure the reform agenda continues for a better Malaysia,” he said, adding that PKR remains a shared home for all its members. --Minutes MY / Igneseous Noris --Photo: FB Ramanan Ramankrishnan
