KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat today expressed its condolences to Kota Bharu Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan on the passing of his biological brother Md Shahdin, who was in his 80s, last night.
Condolences were delivered by the Deputy Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, Datuk Dr Ramli Mohd Nor, before the start of the Ministerial Questions (MQT) session at this morning’s sitting.
“Honorable Members, with great sadness and sorrow, I would like to announce that the biological brother of the Honorable Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan passed away last night.
“On behalf of the Members of this House and on behalf of the entire Parliament, I would like to express my condolences to Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Takiyuddin on the passing of his biological brother,” he said.
Ramli also invited Members of Parliament to pray that Allah SWT would shower blessings on the deceased’s soul and place him among the righteous and faithful.
