JOHOR BAHRU, JULY 6 — Johor State Executive Councillor YB Yuneswaran said the Hi-Tea Ceremony with community leaders, attended by Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, served as an important platform to strengthen unity and foster closer ties among Johor’s diverse communities yesterday.
Yuneswaran, who accompanied and hosted the Prime Minister at the gathering, described the event as a meaningful opportunity to reinforce mutual understanding, respect and appreciation among people of different religious, racial and cultural backgrounds.
He said such engagements reflect the government’s continued commitment to nurturing harmony and inclusivity while strengthening relationships with community leaders across the state.
“The gathering provided a valuable space for open interaction and meaningful dialogue, highlighting the importance of preserving the spirit of togetherness that has long been the foundation of Malaysia’s strength,” he said.
Yuneswaran added that the diversity of Malaysia’s people should continue to be celebrated as a source of unity rather than division.
He expressed hope that the values of mutual respect, understanding and cooperation would continue to flourish, enabling the nation to move forward as a more united, harmonious and prosperous Malaysia.
