JOHOR BAHRU, JULY 9 — Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi has called on voters to give their mandate to Barisan Nasional candidates in the upcoming Johor state election, saying the coalition’s candidates are committed to serving the people and safeguarding the state’s future.
Speaking after attending a community programme in DUN Bukit Batu, Onn Hafiz said the event provided him with another opportunity to engage with Johoreans, listen to their views and receive their support as the campaign period draws to a close.
He thanked residents who attended the programme and shared their aspirations, describing the nearly two-week campaign as an opportunity for BN leaders and candidates to get closer to the people while outlining their plans for Johor.
Onn Hafiz said the coalition had worked hard throughout the campaign to earn the trust of voters and would now leave the final decision in the hands of the people.
He appealed to voters to support BN candidates contesting in the area, namely Mohd Jafni Md Shukor for N.50 Bukit Permai, Kumaran Rama Krishnan for N.51 Bukit Batu, and Kiki Tai for N.52 Senai.
According to Onn Hafiz, the three candidates possess the experience, capability and determination needed to become effective representatives who will listen to the people’s concerns, work diligently and prioritise the interests of Johoreans.
He also urged eligible voters to fulfil their civic responsibility by casting their ballots on 11 July, encouraging them to exercise their democratic right wisely and support Barisan Nasional candidates.
Onn Hafiz expressed hope that the people of Johor would continue to place their trust in BN, adding that the coalition remains committed to serving the state and its people with dedication and integrity.
