PUTRAJAYA, July 14 — The Ministry of Education (MOE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Credit Counselling and Debt Management Agency (AKPK) to strengthen financial literacy among educators nationwide.
The agreement, signed on Tuesday, marks a strategic collaboration aimed at promoting prudent financial management practices within the education sector.
The ceremony was officiated by MOE Secretary-General Datuk Wan Hashim Wan Rahim and will pave the way for a range of initiatives covering financial planning, debt management, savings, basic investment knowledge and retirement preparedness.
Also present were MOE Deputy Secretary-General (Management) Datuk Indera Ikmalrudin Ishak, Acting AKPK Chief Executive Officer Azman Hasim, as well as senior officials from both organisations.
The ministry said the partnership reflects its commitment to equipping educators with essential financial management skills to support their long-term financial well-being.
