SHENZHEN, China, July 16 2026 — Lenovo and TCL CSOT have marked a major milestone in display technology with the launch of the Legion R9000P, the world’s first laptop to feature an Inkjet-Printed OLED (IJP OLED) display.
The collaboration represents the first successful commercial integration of TCL CSOT’s IJP OLED technology into a laptop, advancing the commercialization of next-generation OLED displays.
The 16-inch display features a 240Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals and uses a Real RGB Stripe subpixel arrangement, delivering sharper text and clearer images while reducing color fringing commonly found in conventional OLED panels.
The screen also covers more than 99% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, providing accurate, vibrant colors suitable for professional design work, content creation, gaming, and entertainment.
According to TCL CSOT, IJP OLED technology uses an inkjet printing process to produce organic light-emitting layers, eliminating the need for expensive fine metal masks and vacuum thermal evaporation equipment. The manufacturing process improves production efficiency while reducing costs without compromising OLED’s high contrast and color performance.
The company said it has spent more than a decade developing the technology. Its 5.5-generation IJP OLED production line in Wuhan entered mass production in November 2024, followed by plans to build the world’s first 8.6-generation IJP OLED production line, further accelerating the commercialization of the technology.
TCL CSOT said it will continue refining its IJP OLED manufacturing process to improve production yields, expand applications across different display sizes, and deliver cost-effective, high-performance, and environmentally sustainable display solutions in collaboration with industry partners.
