SEREMBAN, July 17 – The Negeri Sembilan state administration, under the leadership of the Menteri Besar popularly known as “Tok Min,” has highlighted a series of achievements and development initiatives through the campaign “Nismilan Elok Dah, Kito Kekalkan TokMin.”
The campaign showcases the state government’s performance across various sectors, including social welfare, poverty eradication, affordable housing, basic infrastructure improvements, economic growth and investment.
In terms of social welfare, the state government revealed that a total of RM681 million was allocated for 361 initiatives between 2018 and March 2025 to assist low-income families, students, senior citizens, patients, small business operators and other vulnerable groups.
The state government said continuous efforts in addressing poverty have resulted in Negeri Sembilan maintaining its “zero hardcore poor” status for four consecutive years from 2023 to 2026.
Various intervention programmes have been implemented to ensure no family is left behind. A total of 1,697 heads of households received assistance in 2024, followed by 2,275 recipients in 2025 and 1,106 new recipients in 2026.
In the housing sector, the state government, through affordable housing programmes, has provided 321 housing units between 2021 and 2026 to help low-income residents own their own homes.
The housing units, valued at around RM85,000 each, offer monthly instalments as low as RM238, supported by a RM10,000 state government subsidy, while buyers are only required to provide a deposit of RM3,750.
To strengthen water supply infrastructure, the state government has also focused on upgrading essential facilities through the “Pelan Operasi 6” (2024–2026), with an allocation of RM585 million for the replacement and repair of water pipelines across Negeri Sembilan.
Apart from improving operational efficiency, Syarikat Air Negeri Sembilan (SAINS) recorded stronger financial performance, with net profit increasing to RM14.67 million, while cash reserves and fixed deposits exceeded RM90 million as of 2025.
In the economic sector, the state administration reported that it had successfully attracted RM59.04 billion in investments, creating 24,914 job opportunities for the people of Negeri Sembilan.
The state government described the achievement as a reflection of investor confidence in Negeri Sembilan’s economic stability, as well as the result of continuous efforts to create a business-friendly environment.
Through the “Nismilan Elok Dah, Kito Kekalkan TokMin” campaign, the administration reaffirmed its commitment to continuing development programmes that directly benefit the people while ensuring Negeri Sembilan remains a progressive, prosperous and competitive state.
