JOHOR BAHRU — Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim has agreed to pay zakat payments totaling RM10 million for this year.
The matter was announced through a post on His Majesty’s official Facebook today.
Through the post, several photos were also uploaded when His Majesty pronounced the payment of zakat on his property.
The zakat cheque was handed over by His Majesty to the Chief Executive Officer of the Johor State Islamic Religious Council (MAINJ) Mohd Radzi Mohd Amin at Istana Pelangi, here.
The handover was witnessed by Johor Mufti Datuk Yahya Ahmad and Director of the Johor State Islamic Religious Department (JAINJ) Nasri Md Ali.
