KUALA LUMPUR, October 12, 2026, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has emphasised the importance of closer cooperation between the Federal and state governments to ensure inclusive and sustainable national development.
Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said coordinated planning was crucial to ensuring development initiatives benefited the people while supporting long-term national growth.
In a Facebook post, he said this after chairing the 51st National Physical Planning Council (MPFN) meeting in Putrajaya today.
The meeting reviewed key aspects of national physical planning, including land-use management and State Structure Plans, in accordance with the Town and Country Planning Act 1976 (Act 172).
Anwar also urged relevant parties to continuously improve public service delivery to strengthen the investment environment and simplify government processes for the public.
He stressed that effective collaboration and efficient administration were essential to achieving balanced development across the country.
