KOTA KINABALU, September 11 2026, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is scheduled to chair the Malaysia Agreement 1963 Implementation Action Council (MTPMA63) meeting at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here this morning.
The meeting, scheduled to begin at 8.30 am, is a key agenda in the Prime Minister’s series of engagements in the state, and will also be attended by Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
He is then scheduled to perform Friday prayers with the local community at Masjid Jamek Kampung Likas.
After Friday prayers, Anwar will visit the Kampung Numbak fire victims’ temporary evacuation centre at the Damai Multipurpose Hall here at 1.50 pm.
The visit is to observe first-hand the condition and welfare of residents affected by the fire in the village.
On Aug 30, the fire destroyed about 200 stilt houses, with three victims found charred to death.
