JOHOR BAHRU, May 25 — Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has congratulated 49 Community Developers in the field of KEMAS Culinary Skills for their outstanding achievement at the World Chefs Championship 2026 held in Johor Bahru from May 21 to 23, yesterday. Zahid described the team’s success in bringing home 48 medals from the international-level competition, which involved participants from more than 40 countries, as an extraordinary accomplishment that should make all Malaysians proud. He also expressed appreciation to all participants, instructors, coaches and KEMAS personnel for their hard work, passion and dedication in representing Malaysia on the global stage. According to him, the achievement showcased Malaysia’s local culinary identity to the world through the creativity and skills demonstrated by KEMAS participants, ranging from traditional cuisine to modern culinary arts that received international recognition.
