KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed the MADANI Government’s commitment to strengthening the empowerment of the Indian community through a comprehensive approach focused on education, welfare, skills development and employment opportunities.
Anwar said the government remains dedicated to ensuring that the Indian community continues to benefit from inclusive policies that promote socio-economic progress while expanding opportunities at every level of society.
He stressed that access to quality education remains a key priority, as it equips young Malaysians with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive economy.
In addition to education, the Prime Minister said efforts to improve the community’s well-being will continue through enhanced welfare programmes, skills training initiatives and greater access to quality employment opportunities.
Anwar also highlighted the importance of strengthening grassroots initiatives to ensure government assistance and development programmes reach communities more effectively and address local needs.
He said the holistic approach reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring that no community is left behind in Malaysia’s development journey.
The Prime Minister added that empowering the Indian community is part of the broader MADANI agenda to build an inclusive, progressive and united Malaysia where every citizen has the opportunity to contribute to the nation’s growth and prosperity.
