Home of the Nation: Penang PH Focuses on Strengthening People’s Support, Party Work

GEORGE TOWN — Pakatan Harapan (PH) Penang does not see the Rumah Bangsa initiative as something that will affect the current focus, instead the coalition is focusing on efforts to intensify the party’s work in preparation for the upcoming General Election (GE).

State PH chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the coalition is now focusing on the responsibilities and work that needs to be carried out for the people, thus strengthening the support of the people of the state.

“At this stage, it is better for us to focus on our work. What happens outside (PH) is beyond our control.

“We look after our own house, our support and our work,” he said after attending the Chinese New Year Banquet and Women’s Day Celebration organised by the Penang Chinese Women’s Chamber of Commerce (PWCC) here today.

The Penang Chief Minister said PH would continue to focus on strengthening the party’s internal strength as well as ensuring that the people’s support for the coalition continues to increase.

At the same time, he said PH’s work will also begin to improve in line with the current political developments which are seen to be increasingly vibrant.

Last Friday, UMNO President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said UMNO had opened its doors wide to any former members who had been sacked and suspended to return to the party without conditions.
