KUALA LUMPUR, July 28 2026 — The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) will roll out an event ticket spending promotion from July 31 to Aug 31, offering visitors and locals an additional five per cent discount at more than 100 hotels and tourist attractions.
The promotion, introduced under the Hong Kong Summer Fun campaign, allows holders of valid tickets for selected mega events to enjoy discounts on dining, attraction tickets and merchandise, in addition to existing seasonal offers.
In a statement, HKTB Executive Director, Anthony Lau said the initiative aims to link major sporting, cultural and entertainment events with spending experiences to encourage tourism-related consumption and support businesses across the sector.
Eligible events include the Hong Kong Football Festival (HKFF) 2026, Football Summit 2026 FC Bayern Munich vs Aston Villa, Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums, the 2026 TMElive International Music Awards (TIMA) and Silence Wang 2026 “Age of Romance” World Tour.
During the promotion period, visitors and locals may present a valid physical or electronic event ticket to receive the additional discount at participating hotel dining outlets and tourist attractions, with no limit on the number of redemptions.
The event ticket promotion complements the Hong Kong Summer Deals, which offers more than 200,000 promotions across 9,000 outlets covering attractions, dining, transport and shopping as part of the city’s summer tourism campaign.
