KESUMA Lodges Reports Over Alleged Interference in TalentCorp Governance Review

PETALING JAYA, Oct 22  2026, The Human Resources Ministry (KESUMA) has lodged several official reports with the relevant authorities over alleged attempts by interested parties to interfere with an ongoing governance review and investigation involving Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp).

In a statement today, KESUMA said it was working with TalentCorp to transform and strengthen the organisation’s governance, compliance, approval procedures and operational processes to improve transparency, integrity and accountability.

The review had identified several areas requiring improvement, including the company’s constitution, compliance with internal policies, internal controls, and integrity and accountability mechanisms.

KESUMA said the alleged interference included attempts to spread misleading information, influence individuals within the organisation and divert attention from matters under review, potentially compromising the integrity and independence of the process.

Following the receipt of relevant information and evidence, several official reports were submitted to the authorities to facilitate independent investigations.

The ministry said it would leave the authorities to examine the evidence, establish the facts and determine any appropriate action in accordance with the law.

KESUMA stressed that the review must proceed independently, transparently and systematically, without improper interference or influence. It also called on TalentCorp employees and management involved in the process to cooperate fully to ensure a fair and objective assessment.

Any further action, it said, would be determined based on the findings of the review and investigation.

Despite the ongoing process, KESUMA confirmed that TalentCorp’s operations and strategic programmes would continue as usual.

The agency will remain focused on its national talent development mandate, including improving graduate employability, developing future skills and strengthening workforce participation.

The ministry reiterated its commitment to good governance, transparency, accountability and ethical administration, stressing that the interests of the institution, public trust and effective delivery of national talent development programmes remain priorities.
