FRANKFURT: Lufthansa Group has postponed the resumption of its flights to Dubai until November 25, citing the security situation and outlook in the Middle East.
Lufthansa and its subsidiary Swiss had been scheduled to resume services to the UAE city on October 25, coinciding with the start of the winter flight timetable. Eurowings was expected to restart its Dubai services on November 1.
However, Eurowings had already cancelled planned flights from Stuttgart and Cologne/Bonn, citing high jet fuel costs. Its daily services from Berlin to Dubai have also been suspended until further notice.
The latest decision follows the initial suspension of Lufthansa Group’s Dubai flights in March amid the Iran war.
The revised schedule reflects continued uncertainty surrounding air travel operations in the region.
