Melaka Polls: PH Outlines 12 Aspirations In ‘Melaka Rumah Kita’ Manifesto

MELAKA, November 3 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) has unveiled its “Melaka Rumah Kita” manifesto, outlining 12 aspirations aimed at improving public welfare and strengthening the state’s economy.

The manifesto is built around three main priorities: developing Melaka into a smart state, creating more opportunities for young people and attracting more tourists.

Melaka PH chairman Adly Zahari said the proposals aim to improve people’s quality of life while promoting clean, transparent and efficient governance.

PH Proposes More Opportunities for Young People

Under its second main priority, PH proposes allocating 30 per cent of local authority contracts to young entrepreneurs and workers.

The proposal aims to give local youths more opportunities to secure jobs, develop businesses and gain practical work experience.

Target of 25 Million Visitors by 2032

PH also aims to attract 25 million visitors to Melaka by 2032.

Adly said the target is part of the party’s plan to strengthen the state’s tourism industry and raise its profile as an internationally recognised destination.

12 Aspirations Focus on Public Welfare and Development

The manifesto includes 12 areas of focus designed to address the needs of Melaka residents.

These include affordable housing, better employment opportunities, women’s empowerment and support for entrepreneurship.

PH also plans to improve traffic flow, strengthen Islamic institutions and religious activities, and promote social unity.

Other proposals involve developing idle land for economic activities and making better use of state-owned land.

Manifesto Based on Public Feedback

Adly said PH developed the manifesto after engaging with residents and business operators.

The party also drew on its experience in state and federal administration when preparing the proposals.

He said the manifesto sets out a direction for a government that protects public trust, creates income opportunities and ensures development benefits the people.

PH will also organise forums and public programmes throughout the election campaign to explain its proposals to voters.

The party hopes the public will discuss and consider the 12 aspirations. It also plans to introduce further areas of focus, particularly measures to ease the cost of living.

Melaka State Election Dates

The Melaka state election campaign will lead up to early voting on November 10, while polling day is scheduled for November 14.

PH’s “Melaka Rumah Kita” manifesto is intended to present the coalition’s proposed direction for the state’s future.
