SEREMBAN, July 15 — Parti Amanah Negara (AMANAH) President Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu has called on the people of Negeri Sembilan to support Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidates in the upcoming 16th Negeri Sembilan state election, saying the state needs a stable government that works for the people while preserving unity.
Speaking at the Pakatan Harapan Candidate Announcement Ceremony, Mohamad, popularly known as “Bang Mat”, said PH Chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim had unveiled the coalition’s 36 candidates who will carry the people’s mandate in the state polls.
He acknowledged that PH would be contesting against a party that remains its partner at the Federal Government level, describing it as the reality of the current political landscape. Nevertheless, he urged voters to back PH candidates who are committed to delivering political stability, economic development and better welfare for the people.
Mohamad said AMANAH would continue to uphold the principles of Islam Rahmatan Lil Alamin while rejecting politics based on hatred, slander, and the manipulation of racial and religious issues that could divide society.
He stressed that Negeri Sembilan must remain a peaceful, harmonious and inclusive state where people of all races continue to live together with mutual respect.
Mohamad also praised the leadership of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, saying Malaysia has gained greater international confidence, with increasing investments, a strengthening economy and a positive performance of the ringgit reflecting the government’s ongoing efforts to rebuild the nation.
He concluded by urging voters to cast their ballots on Aug. 1 and support Pakatan Harapan candidates to ensure Negeri Sembilan continues to enjoy stability, sustainable development and shared prosperity.
