Muhyiddin Yassin Denies Claims of Malaysian United Indigenous Party Ties with Pakatan Harapan

KUALA LUMPUR — Muhyiddin Yassin has strongly denied claims that Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) is forming close ties with Pakatan Harapan.

The BERSATU president described the allegations as baseless and malicious, saying the matter had never been discussed at any level of the party, including its Supreme Leadership Council.

Muhyiddin said BERSATU remains committed to defending religion, race and the country, while strengthening cooperation within Perikatan Nasional.

He added that the party’s current focus is to strengthen BERSATU and the coalition in preparation for the 16th Malaysian General Election (GE16).
