KOTA KINABALU, July 17 2026 — A Form Two student was reportedly rushed to hospital after falling during school hours at SMK Tun Datu Mustapha in Kinarut, Papar, on Wednesday.
According to a report by the Daily Express, the student, whose mother is a teacher at the school, was taken to hospital for medical treatment following the incident.
At the time of publication, the Sabah Education Director had not responded to requests for confirmation regarding the reported incident.
The reported case comes about a year after the death of student Zara Qairina, which drew widespread public attention and is currently the subject of an ongoing court inquest.
When contacted, police did not deny that the incident had occurred but referred all enquiries to the Sabah Education Department for further information.
