In a statement, Fahmi acknowledged the hard work of journalists, photographers, camera crews and other media practitioners who continue to work on the ground to keep the public informed throughout the election campaign. "Behind every piece of news we read, there is a media person working tirelessly in the field," he said, thanking media professionals for their dedication in delivering the latest election updates to the people. Fahmi also extended his gratitude to the Bernama team for inviting him to visit the Bernama Media Centre in Johor Bahru during his trip on Tuesday. PM Anwar Extends Best Wishes to Johor Early Voters

JOHOR BAHRU, July 7 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has extended his best wishes to all early voters who will cast their ballots in the Johor state election today, urging them to fulfil their democratic responsibility for the future of the state and the nation. In a message ahead of the early voting process, Anwar encouraged eligible voters to come out and vote, describing the election as an important opportunity to determine Johor's future direction. “Happy voting to all Johor state election early voters tomorrow. Do your best for the country,” Anwar said. The Prime Minister also appealed to voters to choose "a candidate of hope" and reaffirmed PH's campaign message of moving Johor forward through stable governance, sustainable development and policies that prioritise the people's welfare. “Johor Forward. JOHOR BAHRU, June 21 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) will officially unveil its candidates for the 16th Johor State Election (PRN Johor) at a major gathering scheduled to take place at Bukit Gambir Extreme Park tomorrow evening. The candidate announcement ceremony will be held on June 22 at 7.30 pm and is expected to draw supporters from across the state as PH kicks off its campaign for the upcoming election. The event will feature several top coalition leaders, including Anwar Ibrahim, Mohamad Sabu, and Loke Siew Fook. BERSAMA Confirms Participation in Johor State Election

KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 -- Parti Bersama Malaysia (BERSAMA) has confirmed that it will take part in the 16th Johor State Election. In a statement, the party said the decision was finalised after several discussions involving its leadership and selected members from across the country. “The Johor State Election 2026 provides an opportunity to introduce BERSAMA to Johor voters, even though the party was relaunched less than a month ago on May 17,” the statement said. BERSAMA added that its participation in the election would allow the party to build its election machinery within a short period, test its effectiveness, and identify weaknesses in preparation for future general elections. In line with this effort, BERSAMA will launch a nationwide tour called Jelajah Kancil, starting in Johor this Saturday. The party said the tour will focus on its 12 key policy agendas, with each state highlighting one specific agenda. The Johor State Legislative Assembly (DUN) was dissolved last Monday following consent from Johor Regent Tunku Mahkota Ismail. — BERNAMA
