PM Anwar – Malaysia’s Future Depends on Values, Unity and Youth Leadership

SUNGAI PETANI, June 8 -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has stressed that the progress of a nation should not be measured solely by physical development, technological advancement or artificial intelligence, but by the strength of its values, morals and spirit of service, yesterday. Speaking at the MADANI Young Friends Assembly in Taman Keladi here, attended by thousands of youths, Anwar described young people as the hope and driving force of Malaysia’s future. He said the core principles of Malaysia MADANI are rooted in building strong character, critical thinking, moral values and a culture of contributing positively to society. The Prime Minister emphasised that youths must be given opportunities to lead, work, participate in sports, serve their communities and contribute ideas towards national development. He noted that Malaysia’s future should not be shaped by politics of hatred or racial sentiments, but by a generation that embraces diversity and transforms it into a source of national strength. Anwar expressed confidence that with knowledge, discipline, self-belief and determination, Malaysian youths are capable of elevating the nation’s dignity and ensuring the country remains peaceful, united and respected on the global stage.
