MERBOK, June 7 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between federal agencies and grassroots leaders to ensure that government policies and services effectively reach the people.
Speaking during a meeting session with Heads of Federal Departments and members of the Federal Village Development and Security Committee (JPKKP) in Kedah, Anwar highlighted the trust and responsibility entrusted to civil servants and community leaders in delivering efficient, effective and integrity-driven services.
He said heads of federal departments and JPKKP members serve as a vital link between the government and local communities, making close coordination and collaboration essential in addressing public concerns promptly.
“The relationship and cooperation between government agencies and grassroots leadership must continue to be strengthened so that every issue faced by the people can be identified and resolved immediately and effectively,” he said.
During the session, Anwar also briefed participants on several current national issues, including Malaysia’s economic performance, which he said has shown encouraging progress following the implementation of policies and reforms under the MADANI Government.
He noted that the positive economic indicators reflected growing confidence in the government’s reform agenda and efforts to strengthen the country’s economic fundamentals.
However, the Prime Minister cautioned against complacency despite the achievements recorded so far.
“We must not become complacent with our current accomplishments. Instead, the entire government machinery must continue to intensify its efforts, strengthen a culture of responsibility and ensure that the benefits of development are enjoyed by all segments of society,” he said.
Anwar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to improving public service delivery and ensuring that development initiatives translate into meaningful benefits for the rakyat across the country.
