PM Anwar Urges Negeri Sembilan Voters to Renew Mandate for Pakatan Harapan

SEREMBAN, July 30 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reaffirmed the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government’s commitment to protecting the welfare and rights of all Malaysians, regardless of race, while maintaining the constitutional position of Malays, Bumiputera and Islam yesterday.

Speaking at a campaign event in Sikamat, Anwar said the PH administration remains steadfast in defending the rights of Malays and Bumiputera and upholding the sanctity of Islam, citing Negeri Sembilan under Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun as an example of balanced and inclusive governance.

He stressed that safeguarding the interests of Malays does not mean denying the rights of other communities, including the Chinese, Indians, Orang Asli and other ethnic groups.

Anwar said genuine leadership should focus on ensuring justice and equal opportunities for every loyal Malaysian rather than resorting to divisive rhetoric or questioning the patriotism of any community.

“Every citizen who is loyal to this country and contributes to its progress deserves a place in our shared future,” he said.

The Prime Minister also appealed to voters to grant Pakatan Harapan a renewed mandate in the upcoming Negeri Sembilan state election, saying the coalition has demonstrated its ability to govern effectively and responsibly.

He highlighted the state’s achievements under the current administration, including attracting record-high investments, maintaining clean and transparent governance, and preserving harmony and unity among its diverse communities.

Anwar expressed confidence that a stronger mandate would enable the state government to build on its successes, drive further economic growth, and improve the well-being of all residents.

He said the continued support of the people would allow Negeri Sembilan to reach greater heights while ensuring that development and prosperity are shared by every community across the state.
