SEREMBAN, September 17 2026, Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim today confirmed the decision of the State Executive Council (Exco) regarding the position of the Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, as reported yesterday.
He said all state Exco members unanimously discussed and decided on the Instrument of Proclamation at a meeting last Tuesday.
“The Exco has instructed the State Secretary to proceed with the gazettement of the proclamation in accordance with the existing regulations,” he told reporters after attending the Negeri Sembilan Foundation Outstanding Graduate Awards ceremony here today.
The media reported yesterday that the state government had collectively decided that the proclamation concerning the removal of Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir as Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan was valid.
In a statement, the state government said the matter was decided at the State Executive Council meeting chaired by Ismail last Tuesday.
