MELAKA, Oct 31 – Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching accompanied Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Leng Chau Yen to the nomination centre for the Bandar Hilir state seat on Saturday.
Teo, who is also DAP Wanita chief, arrived at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Padang Temu to show her support for Leng, who reached the centre at 9am.
Meanwhile, Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Jasmine Lok was accompanied by MCA vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Jeck Seng.
Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) candidate Dr Mohd Nor Rashidi Ab Jalil was also present at the nomination centre.
Supporters Gather at Bandar Hilir Nomination Centre
Supporters from different political parties gathered near the school entrance, carrying blue, red and yellow flags.
The morning weather was clear as candidates and their supporters arrived for the nomination process.
Melaka Polling Date Set for Nov 14
The Election Commission (EC) has scheduled Nov 14 as polling day for the 16th Melaka state election.
Early voting will take place on Nov 10.
The nomination process marks another step in the state election as candidates prepare to contest the Bandar Hilir seat and other constituencies across Melaka.
