MELAKA, Oct 31 – Pakatan Harapan (PH) has denied allegations that it was involved in the issue surrounding the possible deregistration of Perikatan Nasional (PN).
Melaka PKR acting chairman Adam Adli Abd Halim said PH had no role in the matter. He described the issue as an internal problem involving other political parties.
The statement followed an allegation by Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia president Datuk Dr Dominic Lau Hoe Chai.
Adam said PH remained focused on serving the public and presenting its policies to voters ahead of the Melaka state election.
PH Says Election Should Focus on Voters
Adam stressed that the Melaka election should allow voters to decide which coalition they want to lead the state.
He rejected claims that the issue involving PN was part of PH’s election strategy.
He also said PH remained committed to clean and fair democratic practices.
The remarks were made during a press conference at PH’s main operations room in Melaka. PH secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail was also present.
Adam Adli Defends Young Candidates
Adam also criticised personal attacks against PH’s younger candidates.
He said dismissing candidates because of their age would not help develop the country’s future leaders.
According to Adam, PH had given young people opportunities to lead based on their abilities and merit.
He urged voters, especially younger voters, to assess the candidates based on their ideas, capabilities and proposed contributions.
