KUALA LUMPUR, 3 APRIL — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim yesterday emphasized that the Special Meeting with Chief Ministers has become a crucial platform for addressing the global energy crisis ongoing conflict in West Asia.
He stated that the government’s approach is firmly grounded in data and current realities, enabling both federal and state leaders to act in a coordinated, integrated manner while fully understanding the challenges faced. The meeting ensures alignment between all levels of government in responding effectively to the evolving situation.
According to Anwar, the MADANI Government is actively conducting careful and comprehensive scenario planning to manage various potential outcomes, with a key priority on safeguarding the continuity of the nation’s energy supply under all circumstances.
“The focus remains clear and unwavering—to ensure supply stability, mitigate the pressure of rising prices, and protect citizens from the immediate impact of the crisis,” he said.
He added that every measure taken by the government is guided by responsibility and consideration, with the welfare of the rakyat placed at the forefront through practical and effective support initiatives.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of continued engagement with key stakeholders, including industry players and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), to ensure that all strategies are comprehensive, balanced, and deliver high impact.
Anwar underscored that strong cooperation between the Federal Government and state administrations remains central to the nation’s resilience.
“I am confident Malaysia will remain steadfast, resilient, and capable of protecting its people under any circumstances,” he affirmed.
