PUTRAJAYA, July 11 – The Election Commission (EC) has announced that the counting of early votes for the 16th Johor State Election will only begin at 5.00 pm on Saturday.
In a statement, the EC advised the public to rely solely on its official announcements for accurate and verified information regarding the election results.
The commission also urged members of the public to refrain from spreading or believing unverified information and false reports, warning that misinformation could disrupt the smooth conduct of the electoral process.
The EC stressed the importance of obtaining election updates through its official communication channels to ensure that information received by voters and the public is authentic and reliable.
The 16th Johor State Election is being held to elect representatives for the 56 seats in the Johor State Legislative Assembly, with vote counting set to begin after polling closes.
