NILAI, July 17 – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has emphasised that strong leadership begins with the attitude of not being easily satisfied with personal achievements, but instead continuously striving to improve oneself and fulfil responsibilities with excellence.
Speaking during the “Temu Anwar Bersama Pelajar IPG Kampus Pendidikan Teknik Nilai” dialogue session today, Anwar said the spirit of itqan fil ’amal — carrying out every responsibility and task to the best of one’s ability — should become a guiding principle among educators and future leaders.
He said educators are not merely responsible for delivering knowledge, but must also serve as role models who are willing to continue learning, embrace change and enhance their own quality.
Anwar noted that in an era of rapid advancements in digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and energy transition, teachers and aspiring leaders must be willing to innovate, acquire new skills and adapt teaching approaches to meet current demands.
The Prime Minister also expressed confidence that young people possess great potential to lead national transformation, but said this potential can only be realised through strong knowledge, skills development, close collaboration with industries and an unwavering commitment towards excellence.
He stressed that a culture of lifelong learning and continuous self-improvement is essential in producing leaders capable of facing future challenges.
