PUTRAJAYA: Aug 24 2026 Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will deliver the 2026 National Day ‘Amanat Perdana’ on Aug 30, conveying the MADANI Government’s aspirations and hopes on embracing the spirit of independence and fostering patriotism among Malaysians.
The event, organised by the National Unity Ministry, will be held at Dataran Merdeka, with programmes beginning at 5 pm. These include the Merdeka Eve Animation Concert, World Festival of Lights, Gema Perpaduan Malaysia MADANI cultural performance, a special Independence Musical segment and performances by local artistes.
National Unity Minister Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang said strong unity is essential to achieving the country’s desired well-being.
He stressed that Malaysia’s diverse religious, cultural and linguistic backgrounds require Malaysians to continue practising understanding, respect, acceptance and celebration of diversity.
The public is invited to attend the event at Dataran Merdeka to hear Anwar’s address, which will also be broadcast live on TV1 and the RTMKlik application from 9.30 pm.
Themed “Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati”, the 69th National Day celebration will be held at Dataran Putrajaya, with more than 80,000 visitors expected.
