KUALA LUMPUR, June 3 — YTL Artificial Intelligence (AI) Cloud has officially achieved NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud status, making it among the first cloud infrastructure providers in Asia to receive the certification, placing it in the elite group of global hyperscale and artificial intelligence (AI)-specific clouds.
YTL in a statement announced that the NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud initiative is a meticulous operational and architectural blueprint, and was created to reduce the variation and performance degradation that often occurs in public cloud environments.
According to him, the recognition confirms that the cloud service provider’s infrastructure meets or exceeds NVIDIA’s stringent performance, efficiency and scalability targets.
“As one of the first recipients of NVIDIA Exemplar Cloud status in Asia, this demonstrates that we have the talent and infrastructure to lead the development of a world-class, sovereign AI infrastructure, with performance comparable to leading hyperscale providers globally,” said YTL Power International Managing Director Datuk Seri Yeoh Seok Hong.
Meanwhile, YTL AI Cloud CEO Philip Lin said the recognition demonstrates the organization’s ability to handle intensive real-world AI workloads, reduce operational and infrastructure risks, and enable customers to focus on key business objectives.
According to the statement, the validation also ensures enterprise customers achieve predictable and reliable performance based on NVIDIA benchmarks, reference bases and workload expectations, thus maximizing return on infrastructure spend.
YTL said the achievement strengthens YTL AI Cloud’s position as a leading AI infrastructure provider and expands access to advanced AI computing capabilities to businesses, researchers, developers and public sector organisations across Malaysia and the wider region.
NVIDIA Vice President of Architecture and Solutions Engineering Marc Hamilton said the YTL AI Cloud, built according to NVIDIA’s Cloud Partner (NCP) reference architecture standards, will help accelerate the adoption of sovereign AI, advanced model development, scientific research and innovation in the region.
Since Exemplar Cloud was introduced last year, six NCPs have achieved that status: CoreWeave, Crusoe, Lambda, Nebius, Vultr and YTL AI Cloud.
“The growing list (of providers) demonstrates the increasing demand for AI cloud infrastructure that can deliver consistent performance, reliability and efficiency for production AI workloads.
“These providers are helping to raise the performance standard in the AI cloud ecosystem, giving enterprises, developers and AI labs more validated options for scaling training, inference and agent-based AI services,” he said.
