JOHOR BAHRU, July 11 — Voter turnout for the 16th Johor State Election (PRN Johor) reached 43.18 per cent as of 1.00 pm on Saturday, according to the Election Commission (EC).
Polling began at 8.00 am across the state, with voters casting their ballots to elect representatives for all seats in the Johor State Legislative Assembly.
The EC said polling at all designated voting centres was proceeding smoothly, with election officials continuing to facilitate the voting process throughout the day.
Authorities also reminded voters who have yet to cast their ballots to head to their designated polling stations before voting ends, while complying with all election procedures.
The Election Commission is expected to issue further voter turnout updates later in the day as polling continues. Official election results will be announced after the counting of votes is completed.
